- I'm a Navy wife, Stay at home Mom for 2 great boys Ethan and Logan. Logan is my youngest and he is deaf/hard of hearing son with Moderate-Severe Sensorineural Hearing Loss. Logan was diagnosed at 4 months via an ABR and aided at 5 months. Logan passed his newborn hearing screen, but I noticed something was wrong at 2 months and mentioned it to our pediatrician. She referred us to an ENT that said nothing was wrong. I trusted my gut and got another referral to a different ENT. She did a sedated ABR and put in tubes as well. She then confirmed the moderate/severe hearing loss. We finally received hearing aids at 5 months and began speech therapy.
